Flour is used to bind the mixture together and prevents the honey from running down your neck. It also makes the mixture become a light scrub to gently exfoliate your skin when you wash the mask off. Any flour will do - Spelt Flour is good if you have it.

Treat your face to this super easy DIY mask - you'll probably have all the ingredients in your pantry already! It will leave your skin soft and glowing. The ingredients in this mask are especially effective for acne and dry skin - a great way to clean, sooth and moisturise all skin types. Use about once a week.
- 2 teaspoons flour spelt flour is good if you have it
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon honey organic or manuka honey is best
- Making the mask:
Mix the flour and turmeric in a small bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the honey. Bring the mixture together until it becomes a smooth orange paste.
- Using the mask:
Turmeric can stain clothes, so wear an old shirt. Don't worry, the turmeric will not stain your skin! This mask is pretty sticky, so make sure your hair doesn't get caught up in it - tie it up or pin it back. Wash your face using your usual cleanser. Pat dry. Gently apply the mask with your fingertips - just dab around your face (and neck if you want) until it's all covered. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes and relax. Slowly wash the mask off with warm water until it's all gone - then splash your face with some cool water and pat dry. Your skin will feel lovely, glowing and smooth!
If you have sensitive skin, do a small patch test first.
